Synopsis

Episode 2 recap/summary/synopsis
Young Kyu who said, to calm his mom, that he won’t get married to his beloved Mi Sook, can’t put on a brave face. In the room he shares with Ma Roo, he kind of loses touch with reality and bangs his head against the wall, again and again … Ma Roo who is everything, but a patient and pleasant son, can’t stand to see his father acting this way and leaves home.
Young Kyu’s mom opens slightly the door and watches his son banging his head. She is extremely distressed about her son’ state but since she thinks ( wrongly) than Mi Sook is a snake in the grass, she has rather die than letting these two get married.
As for Mi Sook, she is packing her stuffs while Woo Ri is sleeping. Since Gangster gave her the willies, and that she can’t pay back her debt, the only ‘solution’ is to run away. But Woo Ri wakes up and sees her mom packing. That’s probably for Woo Ri the year in year out, with debt collector on their neck. This time, although, Woo Ri sees her dream to finally have a father shattered. She refuses in tears to move Again. Mi Sook don’t « say » anything but takes Woo Ri in her arms whereas she cries her eyes out.
Next morning, Mi Sook comes out like a crazy of her house, visibly affected, looking for her daughter. She runs until the market place and tries to make the chicken sellers understand that her daughter went missing. Once they read that she disappeared with their luggage, they decide to call the police and suggest she keeps on looking for Woo Ri.
Young Kyu who is running errands in their market, sees Mi Sook being in tears. Panicked he asks harasses his not-anymore friend to know why she is crying. He finally tells him that little Mi Sook disappeared ! Young Kyu catches Mi Sook and proposes his help to find Woo Ri. Quick as a flash, he runs everywhere repeating « Little Mi Sook » He finds her near a bus station. Woo Ri visibly annoyed, now that she has been discovered, shuts her mouth and lets Young Kyu talks. He wants her to come back home, seeing she is waiting for the bus; he asks her if she really plans to go somewhere. He barely ends his sentence that she hops in the bus, he follows her …
Young Kyu’s mom is drinking again when she decides to show her teeth to the chickens… Whereas she is arguing with them, she discovers a bag inside the hutch. When suddenly a woman voice says » As always », she turns her head and screams at the sight of the woman who just talked. That’s Shin Ae ! The woman who were acquainted with Dang Joo’s family. And it happens that she is Young Kyu sister ! Sighhhhh, drama fates !
But she is completely UNWELCOME in her mom’s house. Her mom tries to kick her out, but Shin Ae resists and proclaims that she came there to get her child ! Understand : she is Ma Roo’s mom consequently Ma Roo can’t be Young Kyu son, except if they were into incest. Let’s guess who is the father *wink*. Anyway Shin Ae’s mom is outraged by her words. What ? She came back to get her son although she dumped him Years ago ?!!!! Shian Ae opposes that she still the one who gave birth to him !
Young Kyu, in spite of himself, is now in a bus heading toward an unknown destination, thanks to Woo Ri. He asks around him where the bus is heading, but no one reply to him … I don’t get it, is it a bunch of deaf people or only a bunch of rude people ! He turns to Woo Ri and asks her again, where are they going ? She replies that she made an appointment with someone, so now she will go and meet him.
Shin Ae is still arguing with her mom. Young Kyu’s mom doesn’t attend to let Shin Ae takes Ma Roo. She knows very well how her mischievous daughter thinks. If she wants Ma Roo now, it’s not because a sudden motherly feeling awakened. She probably schemed something. But Shin Ae plays innocent, she is only curious about him. How he grew up and all … And even tries to make her mom feel pity towards her, she missed her mom so much. Young Kyu’s mom is a wall, Shin Ae should have died for real, she died a long time ago for her. Then, once again Young Kyu’s mom tries to get ride of Shin Ae and finally succeeds. Nevertheless, before leaving Shin Ae with a sarcastic tone asserts that she will keep on missing her son, so soon she will have to come again and get her son back …
Now in Seoul, Young Kyu and Woo Ri run from an house to another, checking the address with the one Dang Joo gave her. They were marshmallowy-cute together jumping here and there.
At the same time, Ma Roo who made an appointment the day before with Dang Joo’s mom to get his scholarship back, arrives at the house. Choi Jin Chul seems extremely displeased seeing Ma Roo in his house. He tries to make him go back home but Ma Roo is fearless. He has come to see the Madam, he won’t go back before seeing her but no need for him to worry he doesn’t attend to stick to her ! After this extremely courteous sparring match, they’re now having a fierce eyes-to-eyes battle when the Madam finally comes. Quickly followed by her son. The fact is I don’t get why Ma Roo is THAT hostile toward Dang Joo. Okay, jealousy but still .. it’s almost pathological! The situation turns into a family meeting when Dang Joo’s uncle arrives. He is Dang Joo’s real father little brother and when he states that Dang Joo looks more and more like his father, he makes everyone feels uncomfortable. Especially, Choi Jin Chul who seems quite upset. Don’t know why but I love him already :)
Before going inside, Dang Joo hears voices coming from the front gate and spots Woo Ri right away. Poor girl is jostled by the house’s guards who don’t want to let her in. Knight Dang Joo saves her. She is well and truly his friend. The guards let them go inside but the guards stop Young Kyu. He is now « stuck » outside.
Inside, Ma Roo is treated like a little prince. Dang Joo’s mom made her maids set enough dishes to nourish 5 people.Ma Roo thinks that this is a bit too much. But she reassures him, it’s not everyday like today. He was a lucky child to have come to her house on a celebrating day. A lucky child ? He never thought that he was one, and no one ever told him so. She tells him that now that she said it he is a lucky one !
Dang Joo and Woo Ri keep aloof of the party. Amazed Woo Ri counts the number of dresses. She explains to Dang Joo that she wants to become a pianist and « shows » to her mother the sounds. She starts « Do, Re, Mi, FA! » when he closes her mouth, what if they get caught ? Dang Joo seeing his mother looking for him, he asks Woo Ri to stay quiet and goes find his mother.
At the party, everyone gather around Dang Joo’s grand father. He thought that his stomach cancer wouldn’t allow him to live more than one year, and even if he will live 30 more years this won’t change that his generation has passed. Consequently, he decided that he will announce Ok Young group new successor today, the new president will be … Choi Jin Chul ! And as humble and surprised Choi Jin Chul cans pretend to be, he accepts the president’s words. Everyone applause but Dang Joo’s uncle goes a bit bananas hearing the president’s decision
